Maintenance

Planned and reactive building maintenance, keeping premises serviceable rather than letting them decline into refurbishment.

Overview

About Maintenance

Primebuild's core trades - masons, carpenters, plumbers and electricians, all DIT grade-certified - are precisely the disciplines building maintenance calls on. The same team that builds and refurbishes premises can keep them serviceable.

Maintenance is the cheapest work a building owner ever commissions and the easiest to defer. The firm's refurbishment practice exists because premises are routinely allowed to become dilapidated before anyone intervenes; planned maintenance is the alternative to that cycle.

For clients with premises across Kenya, projects are carried out nationwide from the firm's Nairobi base.

Why Primebuild

What you get with Maintenance

The four core trades in-house

Masonry, carpentry, plumbing and electrical - DIT grade-certified and directly employed.

The contractor who knows the building

Where Primebuild built or refurbished the premises, maintenance is carried out by people who already know what is behind the wall.

Planned rather than reactive

Scheduled maintenance costs a fraction of the rehabilitation work that follows years of deferral.

Nationwide coverage

Projects carried out all over Kenya, not only in Nairobi.

Our process

How the work runs

The same sequence on every project, whatever its size.

  1. Condition assessment

A survey of fabric and services establishing what needs attention and how urgently.

  2. Maintenance plan

A schedule of planned tasks with frequencies and an agreed route for reactive calls.

  3. Planned works

Scheduled inspection, servicing and repair carried out to the plan.

  4. Reactive response

Attendance on faults as they arise, by trades who know the building.

  5. Reporting

A record of what was done, what was found, and what needs budgeting for next.

Questions

Maintenance: common questions

Does Primebuild offer ongoing maintenance contracts?

Primebuild's directly employed masons, carpenters, plumbers and electricians cover the core building maintenance trades. Contact the team on +254 705 555 760 to discuss a planned maintenance arrangement for your premises.

Can Primebuild maintain a building it did not construct?

Yes. Primebuild's refurbishment practice is built on taking on existing premises, including buildings constructed by others, and a condition assessment is the starting point either way.
